One of my go to quick meals is panini sandwiches. They don’t require a lot of time and they are so satisfying. If you don’t have a panini press, you can still make paninis on the stove top. However, it takes longer and that defeats the purpose of the quick and easy meal.
20 Minute Buttermilk Biscuits
20 Minute Buttermilk Biscuits are super easy and only take 20 minutes to make from start to finish. They are tall, buttery, and flaky. Serve these soft and fluffy biscuits with jam or smoother them with gravy for a quick and mouthwatering breakfast.
Fluffy Cinnamon Honey Butter
If you enjoyed the cornbread recipe I posted last week, wait until you try it with this to die for Fluffy Cinnamon Honey Butter.
With out looking at the ingredient list, can you guess what makes it so fluffy? You can whip (literally) this heavenly fluff up in under 10 minutes.
Peach Cobbler
With peach season in full swing, it is a must to make peach cobbler! What better way to spend a cool fall evening than sitting out on the porch with a serving of hot peach cobbler and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Oh my mouth is watering!
Fall Corn Husk Wreath
I’m sure I have told you before that fall is my favorite season! It is so pretty when all the leaves change colors. The weather cools down a bit and everything just seems to slow down.
As I was getting out my fall décor, I realized that I was no longer in love with the fall wreath I used last year. I love having a new wreath for each season and I get sick of them pretty quick too. I guess that the benefit of making them is that they don’t cost a lot. So I don’t feel as guilty when I am ready to swap the old wreath out with a new one.
I saw a tutorial on designimproved.com for this lovely corn husk wreath. I felt like mine needed something else, so I added the floral. I love how it turned out!

Chalk Paint Chair Makeover
As you can see, my chairs were in desperate need of a makeover! I have had these chairs for a few years. I bought them off of KSL (a local classified ad) a few years ago for $5 a chair. That is right my friends, I paid $30 for the six chairs. I finally got around to refinishing them.
I promised you that I would show you the chairs when I finished them. They took a little longer to paint than my table because of all the details on the chairs.
Andes Mint Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats
Now that school has started, I’ll bet that your kids would love coming home to a batch of Andes Mint Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats.
You can whip these babies out in no time and then have plenty of time to sit and listen to your kids tell you about their day. Some would say that a tall glass of milk would make this treat complete.
As an added bonus, if your kids are anything like mine, you can use this treat as a motivation for them to do their homework in a timely manner!
Until next time,
Carrie
What I Love Wednesday
I love Annie Sloan Chalk Paint! I love that I don’t have to prep the piece by sanding or priming. I love that it dries quickly and that it generally only takes two coats to cover it. I also love that after I wax the piece that it doesn’t chip or peel and can with stand my five child and all the love they give it!
Annie Sloan Chalk Paint can only be purchased at select stores. It is $37.oo a quart, but it goes a long long way!
I just painted my kitchen table and chairs and I am so in love with the results!
Here is a picture of what my kitchen table looked like before I painted it. I did sand the table before painting because it had a lot scratches and dents and I wanted to get as many out as I could.
When I took this picture I had already sanded the top, but I think you can tell that my table was in desperate need of a makeover!
I bought this table five years ago for $40 from a college student. I bought it with the intent of refinishing it.
Of course life gets in the way, I had two more kids and graduated from college in the mean time. Five years later my table is finally done.
Peaches and Cream
At our house, we count down the days until peach season. There is nothing better than biting into a juicy peach! For as long as I can remember, my mom has made Peaches and Cream in the Fall time. She is kinda famous around here for her Peaches and Cream. Every time she is asked for the recipe, she laughs when they say “that’s it”? There really isn’t much to it, but boy is it amazing!
I like to make the Peaches and Cream and let it sit in the fridge for a few hours so the cream has time to thicken and the flavors can marinade.
I seriously wish I could see the look on your face when you taste it for the first time. I am not kidding when I say these Peaches and Cream are life changing!

Chocolate Cherry Brownies
I like my brownies very moist and chocolatey (if that is even a word). I like them to have enough flavor that they can stand on their own without frosting if they need to. However, I like frosting on my brownies but I don’t like it so sweet that it over powers the brownie and you get a instant headache from all the sugar.
I know, I know, I am kind of picky when it comes to my brownies. That is why I instantly fell in love with these brownies! They are every thing I have ever wanted in a brownie and more because you get the added bonus of the cherries. You can switch out the cherry preserves for another fruit preserve if you like. I think strawberry preserve or raspberry preserve would be fabulous.
The chocolate gaunche on these brownies is so silky smooth and it magically melts in your mouth with each bite.
Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is, so I am going to go because I have a brownie waiting for me. Dooda Lou!
With love from my kitchen to yours,
Carrie
