Soft Homemade Pretzels

May 28, 2015 by myrecipeconfessions

Soft Homemade Pretzels are the best pretzels you will ever taste! This recipe is so easy, my kids can make them all on their own. These pretzels make a great after school snack, or cut them into pretzel bites for the perfect appetizers!

Soft Homemade Pretzels are my weakness! These pretzels are super soft and chewy. They are just as good, if not better than the mall pretzels. They are actually pretty simple to make too. Which makes them that much better. You don’t want miss out on these delicious pretzels!

Strawberries and Cream

May 27, 2015 by myrecipeconfessions

Stawberries-and-Cream

I love a big bowl of Peaches and Cream! Because I only get to enjoy peaches and cream in September, I decided to whip up a bowl of Strawberries and Cream.

Strawberries are in full swing now. Why not take advantage of this luscious fruit while we can. With only a few minutes of prep work, you will be in heaven after one bite!

Strawberries and Cream Recipe

The best way to enjoy this dish is in the company of your closest friends and family. This way, hopefully they won’t judge you when you feel the need to lick your bowl clean. Yes, it is that good!

With love from my kitchen to yours,

Carrie

Strawberries and Cream

Strawberries and Cream

4 cups  of strawberries, sliced

1 cup of whipping cream or half and half

1/2 cup of granulated sugar

1  1/2 tsp. of vanilla

Instructions

1.  Wash the strawberries. Cut off the stems of the strawberries and throw the stems away.  Slice the strawberries and put them in a bowl. Sprinkle the sugar over the top of the strawberries and let them sit for 5 minutes. Gently toss the strawberries.

2. Add and mix the whipping cream or half and half and vanilla with the strawberries and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours. I like my strawberries and cream best after they have been refrigerated over night.

Accent Chair Makeover

Accent Chair Makeover

Accent-Chair-Makeover-

I bought these chairs about four or five years ago off of KSL (a local online classified site) for $50 for the set. They were originally a dark brown stain with a tan microfiber cushion. I have always loved how comfortable and wide the cushions are. Those who know me know that I don’t stick with the same furniture for very long. I either sell it and get something new (new to me) and refinish it. I blame this on my mom. She is always constantly changing out her décor and furniture.

Chicken Enchiladas with Homemade Red Sauce. If you love amazing tasting Mexican food, than this recipe is for you! I am always looking for chicken recipes and this one is a home run! The red sauce is really easy. I love this red sauce so much I could drink it out of a cup!

I love this Homemade Red Enchilada Sauce! I included the original recipe from Home Cooking Memories in my 23 Cinco de Mayo Side Dish and Desserts post a few weeks ago. I have been wanting to try it ever since. Let me just say that Brandie is brilliant!

I made these enchiladas last night and they are out of this world! I love how easy the enchilada sauce is to make. I always thought that it would be this crazy long process to make homemade red enchilada sauce. So I have never attempted it until now.
