4 Ingredient Fruit Smoothie

January 5, 2016 by myrecipeconfessions

4 Ingredient Fruit Smoothie. I got sick of my kids eating sugar coated food for breakfast. I started making this smoothie and they love it! I looked for other smoothie recipes, but this one is our favorite. You can add any kind of fruit or vegetables that you like. You can even use almond milk instead of skim milk. This is a great vegetarian recipe.

Throw out the sugar-coated cereal and start your day with this healthy and delicious 4 Ingredient Fruit Smoothie. My kids pediatrician gave me the idea for this smoothie when I was talking to him one day about my frustrations with breakfast. All my kids want to eat is sugar-coated food. He told me that at their house they make smoothies in the morning. He uses almond milk, but my kids didn’t like it so I stick with skim milk.

Lemon is a weakness of mine. I grew up squeezing lemon juice over steamed vegetables, over beef milanesas, and anything else that needed a little kiss of citrus.

Three Ingredient Tender Crock Pot Ham

December 3, 2015 by myrecipeconfessions

This 3 Ingredient Tender Crock Pot Ham recipe is as simple and straight forward as it gets! This delicious ham is juicy and fall off the bone tender!

3 Ingredient Tender Crock Pot Ham makes a great holiday ham. It is so incredibly tender and juicy! This recipe is as simple and easy as it gets. I will never use and other recipe again!

When I pulled the ham out of the crock pot, the meat was falling off the bone. That is always a good sign to me. I am not a fan of dry ham. So I was curious to see if cooking it in the crock pot would make a difference. Boy did it ever! I couldn’t stop eating it.

With this recipe, you don’t need to spend a lot of money on an expensive ham. You will get the same tender juicy flavor with this recipe. I like to use the the butt portion ham. However, you can use the shank portion if you prefer. I have never tried the sprial ham with this recipe. I am not a fan of spiral hams because they tend to be really dry. So I wouldn’t recommend the spiral ham.

With love from my kitchen to yours,

Carrie

Three Ingredient Tender Crock Pot Ham

5 to 6 lb. butt or shank portion ham (I prefer the butt portion)

1 cup of brown sugar

1 can of crushed pineapple

Instructions

  1. Remove all the wrapping from the ham and rub the brown sugar all over the flat side of the ham. Place the ham flat side down in the crock pot and rub the remaining brown sugar over the rest of the ham.
  2. Pour the crushed pineapple and juice all over the top of the ham. Place the lid on the ham and cook for 6 to 8 hours on low or 5-6 hours on high.
  3. Remove the ham from the crock pot and slice. Drizzle some of the juice from the crock pot over the ham and serve.

Here are a few other recipes you might enjoy.

Honey Glazed Ham. This ham is everything you have ever wanted in a Christmas ham and more! The flavor will knock your socks off! Don’t mess around with other ham recipes, this one is all you need. Your guests will think you spent a bunch of money on an expensive ham. Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me.
